LeBron James Charity Contributes

In Mr. Somers class we have been reading a book called “The Teacher Who Changed My Life.”  I decided to write about LeBron James because this has made me think of all the people who have changed the lives of other people. LeBron has done so many things that involve helping children. Some of his charities are, the After- School All Stars, The Muhammad Ali: A Force For Change, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, and the Children’s Defense fund. All of these charities have a purpose to , like the After- School All Stars  purpose is to keep all the kids in school and encourage them to graduate. The Muhammad Ali: A Force for Change Foundation is a tribute to LeBron, because Muhammad Ali was an inspirational sports figure for LeBron. The Boys and Girls Clubs gives children mentoring and activities to do after school. The Children’s defense foundation makes sure all children are treated fairly. These foundations have also raised a lot of money. The After School All Stars has raised over $40 million dollars. LeBron has donated $2.5 million dollars to the Muhammad Ali: A force for Change Museum, and to The Boys and Girls Clubs of America  Foundation. The Children’s Defense Fund has raised $21,338,231 dollars. If you would like to read more about LeBron James and his charities these are the websites i used.  http://moneyinc.com/lebron-james-five-humongous-charitable-donations/ and https://www.wikipedia.org/
